Politicians are among of the most visible people in television. You may also see them on various formal and special events. As public figures, they should dress conservatively without compromising their looks. Most of the time, you will see politicians dressed in traditional suits with a white shirt and outdated tie. At times, you would even think that politicians are using the bad clothing style to project believability and authority. The following are the things men should consider.
Choose the proper suit.
If you are one of those politicians who do not dress well, the first thing you need to do is to avoid choosing blue or navy suit, unless you are going to incorporate it with a subtle pinstripe. A black suit is the best, but other colors with textures are also fine. A light gray or dark grey suit is a nice choice for a modern clothing style. If you want to wear a suit with a sexy touch, go for any with a very subtle pinstripe. There is no need to wear slacks with pleats and cuffed pants.
Be careful in choosing a shirt.
Another thing that's usually forgotten to consider by some men, not only by politicians, is the shirt. If you are going to wear a white button down shirt, make sure it has good quality. There should be no buttons on the shirt. It is better if the shirt has subtle pattern or some linear texture. However, the texture is not necessarily important. You may also wear a plain white button down shirt with fabulous look. Aside from white, green, blue, red, and other colors of shirts can also be worn, depending on how you carry them. Don't be afraid to try other colors. You just have to know the right proportion of colors. If your shirt is in bright colors, your suit should be a light one.
Choose the appropriate tie.
Choosing a tie appropriate to your shirt and suit is quite a difficult task. However, the easiest way to find the right tie is this: pick a tie with nice texture and choose one in solid color. Avoid using ties in pink, orange, yellow, purple, pastel, or gold.

Early in my sewing career I had a choir ask for 50 dresses to be designed and sewn for them for a special event they were presenting. I did all of the measurements, pattern making and sewing. When I attended the event I noticed some of the ladies looked great and some not so great.
Since I had done all of the work on creating these garments Ghd Hair Straighteners I immediately went to work to discover what caused the difference in the results I saw.
The thing that kept influencing the result of the over all look was clothing placement. With years of training in anatomy, the bone structure became important in understanding how each person is put together and the influence that has on the way clothing looks.
Since each clothing designer chooses the height, size and shape of the person they like to design for, many garments could look better with just a little tweaking. That is why alterations often need to be made for the garments you are purchasing. It is not your body, it is the way the clothing is fitting your body. Remember we are clothing hangers, as the garments hang from our shoulders.
Like a diagram for a room and where to place furniture Prom Gowns, each person needs to know where to place clothing on their body so it works for their proportion and bone structure.
Padding (or weight ) around your bones does not influence your vertical placement formula. A cool side effect of putting clothing in the right place for your proportion is that you can visually look like you weigh less.
I appreciate being able to take all the guesswork out of what to wear especially when making clothing purchases. Since your vertical proportions are based on your bone structure, they will remain the same throughout your life.
The result is you can save thousands of dollars by transforming evening Gowns your current wardrobe and when making new clothing purchases that will flatter you every time.

Sometimes bad fitting destroys the beauty of a good dress shirt. Men should learn these few tips to get the appropriate mens dress fit to avoid fitting blunders.
An ideal fit for dress shirt should display a smart and savvy appearance for the man. For a formal event, mens dress shirt should provide a ceremonial effect that suits the occasion. If you intend to create dressy attire, fitting in different parts of the suits should still be suited to give you that dressy feel.
Collar
Fit
The main focal point of the dress should start under the mens face
the collar. Most dress shirts run their collar size by half inches such
as 14, 14.5, 15, and so on
Measuring the right collar size should be based on the neck dimension just below the Adams apple. If the neck circumference is about half inch, then it would be a good idea to get the higher end to prevent too tight collars when the fabric shrinks.
Most men buy dress shirts with too wide collars. Collars ought to be snug around the neck. Snug means that it should not squeeze or give you a choking feeling especially when you bend your head down to touch your chin to your chest. There should be just enough room for your head to move around the neck.
Other way to find out the tightness of a collar is by slipping two fingers between the buttoned collar and the neck. The two fingers should fit comfortably, and this additional space gives room for possible shrinkage after a few washing of the dress shirt.
So the collar fit should not be a perfect fit when immediately tried on and neither should it have more room than the two fingers you slid in. Otherwise the fit in the collar would be inappropriate.
Collar points have to touch the chest when worn with a tie. It should never leave a gap or stick up between the collar points from the chest especially when you turn your head.
Sleeves
and Cuffs Fit
There are two lengths of dress shirts in every collar size to
accommodate a wider range of arm length in men. Men wearing dress shirts
with improper sleeve lengths can actually make a man look funny.
So to achieve a good fit for your sleeve, it is important to check the sleeve length. Proper measurement should run the tape from the centre of the back of your collar to the top of your shoulders then down to the arms and the wrist bone.
An extra inch will allow an extension of about a quarter inch when worn with suits. It will also provide additional fabric to avoid cuffs from pulling back when you extend your arm in any direction.
The proper way of fitting mens dress shirt is to keep your arms on your side and make sure that the cuff ends are slightly further down the wrist bone without gathering to much fabric at the cuffs. Armholes should float over your armpit rather than a tight snug.
Cuff circumference should not allow your hands to slip in without unfastening the cuff buttons. This applies both for barrel and French cuffs. Bespoke dress shirts should have room for a wristwatch and should not fit too tight or snug.
Torso Fit
A good fit around the torso is an important criteria in mens dress
shirts. There are different types of cut such as the American, French
and English.
American cut is the fullest, next is the tapered look for the French cut and the English cut is somewhere between these two. Whichever style of cut you choose, the most important is to have comfort with style.
Lately, the trend of dress shirt is the tight tapered look. It gives an overall lean and clean feel for slim men. But this is not suitable for everyone and some men do not like its wrapping feel.
Most importantly, a good fit in mens dress shirt should be full but will not cause the front panels to gape open when you sit down. This only shows that the fit around the torso is too small.
The seam that connects the yoke and sleeve should rest just where your shoulders end. If it drapes over it, then the shirt is over sized for you.
And lastly, the tail length should fall just around your crotch are. It should never pull out of the trousers whenever you raise your arms or when you sit down. Proper tug-in is important to prevent looking sloppy and untidy.

10. Wear a good pair of cold weather boots - Your choice of boots should depend on where you intend to trek, how much you intend to walk, and how cold you expect the weather to be. If the weather is not that cold...let's say 40 - 50 degrees above zero, Fahrenheit, and you intend to trek across areas where you may have to step in small puddles wear a good pair of boots that have good insulation and contain a water-resistant material that allows your feet to breath. If you expect to be sitting still for an extended period of time, you will want to wear boots that are designed with a large pocket of air in the toes. This air pocket along with insulation in the boot will keep your toes warm in some very cold weather! The only drawback is that you will look like you are wearing Mickey Mouse shoes! They are cumbersome to walk in for long distances, however for times when you don't need to walk very far and will be sitting for an hour or more in very cold weather, these boots are perfect!
11. Buy Your Boots with Extra Room - Be sure when you try on a pair of boots that you wear the socks you will be wearing in the woods. If you wear a pair of athletic socks when you try on your new cold-weather boots, there will not be enough room for your thick wool socks. I would rather my cold weather boots were just a little on the big side rather than the other way around. Extra air in the toes provides for extra insulation. Tight boots restrict circulation in your toes which will also make them colder. Just make sure you don't get boots that are so big they rub a blister on your heel.
12. Use a Blind - whenever possible for wildlife viewing or hunting. Anything to help block the wind will also help keep you warm.

Plus sized girls used to have to stay home for prom, or if they went, they were doomed to wear unattractive dresses in loud prints or grandma styles. The fashion industry is starting to wise up, though. They're realizing that curvy girls have a right to be beautiful and enjoy their prom night as much as the skinny ones. If you know where to shop, you can get a flattering, well-fitted prom dress that will make you feel like a queen. Special websites and prom dress retailers offer gowns for girls up to size 44, so you'll always find something in your size. One in five teens is a plus size now, and you deserve a great prom night, wearing a beautiful dress.
The first step to getting a flattering look is to consider your figure. The dress that looks great on a tiny classmate with no curves is going to bunch and look unflattering if you have them. Shop styles designed with your body in mind, not just sized up from the standard line. If you know what sort of shape flatters your body, you can get the best dress for your prom. Apple shapes look good in empire styles. Hourglasses are flattered by styles with a definite waist, but not by straight sheath shapes. Pear shapes do well in dresses with full skirts that flare from the hips. If you're small busted, consider a dress with decoration at the top to draw attention to your upper half. If, on the other hand, you'd prefer to minimize your bust, avoid things like bugle- beaded and plunging necklines.
To ensure the success of your prom look, make sure you're wearing the right foundation garments. A badly fitted bra or a visible panty line can spoil an otherwise great look. Consult with salespeople to find out what's best for you. At specialty shops, you can be measured for a bra that will fit and flatter, unlike most of the regular lines. This way, your dress will fit right over a solid foundation that smooths out your lumps and bumps, leaving only beautiful curves. Draw attention to your best features with a flattering gown that goes with your shape, and wear the right foundation, and you'll get a great look.
Don't skimp on your makeup and hair. The right hairstyle can make you glamorous. The wrong one can add fullness to your face and draw attention just where you don't want it. Consult with your stylist about what hairstyle will go best with your dress. Updos this year are tending towards messy, rather than severe. Little tendrils trailing out of your style can give it a fun, casual look. Always pick a style that goes with the mood you want to project, though. If you take care to think about your look and how it will go with your body, you'll get the glamorous prom look girls dream of. Plus size girls don't have to be content with frumpy dresses for prom. Choose your best look at a specialty prom retailersean09 | 03 March, 2010 11:48
Just like any thing worth its salt, truly stylish things never go out of style. The french cuff dress shirt is one of these items that seem to have a staying tiffany jewellery power far beyond just a fashion trend.
Worn for over a hundred years, the french cuffs were a traditional way to dress up allowing males to don ornate jewelry type cuff links (Think the founding fathers and old time royalty, with the complicated woven coats and frilly shirts). As fashions trend to a simpler look french cuffs became an understated way for men to show a little flair.
It is one of those things in men's fashion that can transcend the generation gap. Sterling silver jewelry is always made of silver that is 92.5% pure. It is composed of 925 parts of pure silver and 75 parts alloy, usually copper. Sterling silver jewelry always has the stamp of sterling silver on it, accompanied at times with the name of the designer or jewelry manufacturer. The word "sterling" is the most respected in the jewelry business today. Since pure silver by itself is too soft, another metal such as copper is added to it, to give the silver its added stiffness and other qualities. The resulting mixture is composed of 925 parts pure silver in every 1000. This proportion never varies. It is fixed by law. This is referred to as sterling and is often incorrectly called solid silver.
Sterling silver jewelry is made from this sterling silver, which is a white and highly reflective precious metal. It is of superior quality, which reflects in its look and feel. Although less durable than stainless steel and other precious metals, sterling silver is often employed in watches that coordinate or look like sterling jewelry. A protective coating may be added to prevent tarnish. Sterling silver jewelry is not very cheap, yet is also not beyond reach. It has a very distinctive look and can be easily distinguished. There is no mistaking the high reflective shine of this jewelry, which is one of its trademarks.
It adds a sophisticated charm to your personality. Sterling silver jewelry is very stylish and lends an incredible elegance to your entire look. The inedible stamp of quality along with the chic sophistication makes it a wonderful "must have" product. It is a very versatile ornament that crosses all barriers of age, cast, creed etc. It can be worn by anyone whether young or old. Some care has to be taken with any sterling silver jewelry that you own. This jewelry does tarnish with time. Tarnish on silver starts out as a yellowish tinge and is most easily removed at this stage. Silver tarnish progresses to a blackish purple coating becoming much more difficult to remove. Prolonged, unprotected storage is generally when tarnish occurs.
Usually, tarnish will not appear on jewelry that is worn on a regular basis. The gentle friction from wearing and the contact of oils on the skin will likely keep your jewelry bright and sparkling. Note though that taking certain medications can cause changes in skin acidity and may cause jewelry tarnishing.
To exercise good silver care, keep your jewelry free of tarnish by frequent cleaning. A simple diluted solution of mild dishwashing liquid and water can clean your silver jewelry. You can make your own cleaner by putting 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of salt in an aluminum pan - make sure it?s aluminum, that?s what makes this work - add hot water, mix it up and drop in your tarnished silver. A "magical" chemical removes the tarnish. Then, rinse and wipe dry.The presence of moisture will promote tarnish so, If possible, store your jewelry in a zip-loc plastic bag with anti-tarnish paper.
Light tarnish or oxidation film can be removed with silver polishing cloths. You may find them at supermarkets, hardware stores or jewelry shops. Heavy tarnishing will require commercially available polishing creams, or dip liquids. Use care with these, limiting the exposure of gemstones to silver cleaners as they may contain chemicals that can harm certain gemstones. Always rinse and dry jewelry thoroughly. I've found that using a hairdryer works very well to insure removal of moisture. Use a soft cloth to make sure no residual cleaner remains.
Note: Cream and dip liquid polishes will most likely remove tarnish and oxidation from your jewelry. They will also most certainly remove any decorative oxidation designs and patinas as well. Therefore, it's best to keep these items free of tarnish through proper storage and the use of cleaning cloths. BUT avoid cleaning your sterling silver with tissue. Believe it or not, tissue can scratch your silver.
Avoid jewelry contact with abrasive soaps, chemicals, perfumes, hair sprays, dyes, etc. Remove your jewelry while washing, bathing, doing dishes, household chores or cleaning with chemicals. Silver is a relatively soft metal and can scratch, so don?t scrub with abrasive cloths or cleansers. Remove your jewelry before doing strenuous activities, exercise, sports, swimming (both ocean saltwater or chlorinated pools), to prevent scratching, denting or loss of gemstones. Remove jewelry before going to bed to avoid kinking or breakage.
Sterling silver jewelry has a unique air of class, sophistication and style surrounding it. It is a wonderful thing to own and also to give to people who matter. It says a lot about your personality and taste. Wearing sterling silver jewelry can immediately enhance your over-all persona. It is available for both men and women being one of those essential pieces of jewelry that you must have in your collection. Its versatile look allows it to be used for many occasions, and the feel and texture is quite fashionable, as well as glamorous. By knowing some of silver's characteristics and taking a little extra care, your silver jewelry can give you a lifetime of enjoyment.

People’s first impression of us and what we are about is often based how we look and dress. “New statistics show that over 55% of your message is projected visually,” says Jennifer Butler. This is why having a well-crafted image is important. The better we look, the more effective we are in our professional and personal lives. These top five fashion tips, the tricks of the trade that only the best stylist will know, can help you on your way to discovering the power of projecting the inner you. We hope to help you become your own stylist and show you how to choose the look that is right for you.
The first of the five fashion tips is to be affirmative. “When we look at ourselves in an outfit we might say, well, if I were just thinner, younger, in better shape, or better looking the outfit would work.” Says Butler, “but you are always congruent and you always look beautiful.” If a particular outfit doesn’t work it is not your fault. This outfit just did not live up to your organic beauty. A good stylist will tell you to discover your natural look and focus on what works well on you, not the things that don’t work.
The second of these fashion tips is to know your natural contrast. What is the color balance between your hair, skin and eyes? You do not need to see a professional stylist for this exercise. Just get in front of a mirror. Is your hair light (blonde, champagne or mushroom), medium (light brown, pecan, strawberry blonde, amber) or dark (auburn, mahogany, black)? Ask yourself the same questions about your eyes and skin. Once you determine how all your features contrast, put it together. If you have dark hair and light skin and dark or medium eyes, you have a high contrast look. If you have medium-brown hair, medium-light skin and medium-dark eyes, you are a medium contrast person. Lastly, you are a low-contrast look if your hair, skin and eyes are softly blended, such as blonde hair, light blue eyes and light skin. These fashion tips do not just apply to those with light complexions. If your coloring is dark, look at the contrast of your hair, skin, and eye color and compare that to the whites of your eyes and teeth. Although it may not seem like it, there are many color ranges in these features. If your teeth or eyes are bright white, it is high contrast with your complexion, soft bone to soft gray would be medium contrast and deeper gray or beige is low contrast.
What do you do now that you know your natural contrast? Number three of the Top Five Fashion Tips picks up where tip two left off. “How many times have you been complimented by someone saying they liked your outfit or the color of your dress rather than complimenting you,” asks Jennifer Butler. When this happens, your clothes are over-powering you. The opposite can happen as well. If you wear too low of contrast both your body and message will get lost. In both cases you need to work twice as hard to get your message across. One of the best fashion tips any stylist can give you is to pick colors that match your contrast. High contrast individuals can wear high contrast color combinations such as black and white or navy and pink or dark brown and ivory. Medium contrast individuals are best with brown mixed with camel for example or brown and orange. If your overall look is low contrast, you are best wearing soft, blended combinations.
Number four of these fashion tips is to celebrate your natural texture. What does this mean? Some people have curly hair, some people have straight hair; some have smooth skin other have freckles. Does your hair have a smooth color texture or are there highlights? All these are points of interest. Take what beauty nature gave you and work it into your accessories, clothing patterns and fabric textures. Any good stylist will tell you, the right texture can add to your look. If you find that your hair is straight with minimal highlights, you can wear clothes with a smooth texture like satin and velour. If your texture is more of a medium, you will look best in a light corduroy or suede. For those with a more rugged texture, a heavy corduroy or herringbone would look great on you.
Much like the previous fashion tips, tip five also involves how many visually interesting design attributes a person can wear. But unlike texture, complexity takes into consideration your own personal energy. There is an amount of design one person can wear and look congruent and interesting, but not be overwhelmed by too much bulk. Any stylist will tell you that this is different for each person. Some naturally feel comfortable wearing multiple designs and lots of accessories while others prefer to wear solids and minimal jewelry. Jennifer Butler says, “Your clothes become the marketing tool that announces who you are and what you are about.” One of the best fashion tips to remember is you can make the wrong first impression by wearing something that is incongruent to your energy. An example would be a shy person where flashy clothing. People may assume that the shy person is outgoing by what this person is wearing. It gives others the wrong impression. Since over 55% of your message is projected visually, it is important that your image reflects the real you. Your personal energy is something you must discover on your own. Not even a great stylist can tell you who you really are.
By utilizing things like contrast, complexity and texture, you too can look like you have your own professional stylist. The most important of these fashion tips, however, is to always be affirmative. Remember that you are beautiful and no stylist or fashion tips will change your natural beauty. Respect your inner energy and focus on the message you want to project. We hope that these fashion tips helped you on your way to crafting the image that is right for you.
